Many members of AAUW-D participate in Study and Interest Groups. The LEGACY provides monthly topics and locations. Meetings are held from September through May in members’ homes and at local restaurants/venues.
AAUW-D members* may attend groups regularly or visit when there is a topic of particular interest. Study and Interest groups are social in nature and welcome new members as space allows. Please contact the hostess ahead of a meeting to let her know that you plan to attend so that there will be enough seating and refreshments.
*According to our by-laws, guests may only attend two meetings in the Study and Interest Groups prior to joining the branch.

Book Sale News
We’re coming Back!
The AAUW Dearborn funds its philanthropy with Bi-Annual Used Book Sales. Profits from the book sales support educational programs and scholarships for students who attend:
- Dearborn Public Schools,
- Henry Ford College
- University of Michigan – Dearborn.
Sales and Donation Location
Dearborn Ice Skating Center (The DISC) at 14900 Ford Road, Dearborn 48126
Donations of Used Books and Media Welcome!
- The AAUW Dearborn Branch is once again happy to accept donations of clean used books which are in good condition. We also accept DVD’s and CD’s, but no tapes. We cannot use textbooks more than 3 years old.
- Books are accepted by appointment only through the Book Sale Chairs.
- We are unable to pick up books.
Many AAUW-D members volunteer year-round at our used book and media sale fundraisers; community members also help. We sort and pack the donated books and set our own team schedules, based upon operating hours at the DISC. We happily train volunteers who have no experience with sorting and packing. NO heavy lifting is required as court workers are assigned to help with lifting and stacking boxes.
2022 Book Sale dates to follow soon!
