Annual Used Book Sale

Book Sale News and Notes                                                                 

Congratulations to  the AAUW-Dearborn Book Sale fundraiser Co-Chairs Erin Curtiss, Wayne Whitney,  AAUW-D members, adult and Dearborn Kiwanis high school KEY Club volunteers, and all of the Book Sale committees for a very successful 2024 sale. Profits from this sale will support local college educational programs at Henry Ford College,   UM/ Dearborn, and other projects related to our nonprofit mission goals. 

Adults interested in volunteering may join our book donation sorting team, help with pricing books, PR, or work at sale events, and learn more about The American Association of University Women-Dearborn’s mission and activities. The 72nd American Association of University Women-Dearborn Used Book and Media Sale is scheduled for October 3-5, 2025 at the DISC ( the drop-off location) on the second floor. We are looking forward to another great year of supporting local literacy, local college educational programs, and providing new homes for so many great books in addition to many other special features of the 2025 sale.  Our Focus:  Empowering Women-Inspiring Change              

Learn about the award winning American Association of University Women-Dearborn, estabished in 1933, a 501c3 nonprofit charity organization whose mission is to promote equity for women and girls and therefore supporting family values. We have @ 100 members ( women and men of diverse backgrounds) and focus on activities involving education, research, and advocacy.  We also welcome individuals who do not hold college degrees, but who believe in our mission and wish to participate in our activities. We enjoy  cameraderie and connections with several interest groups and  through our greater community area outreach projects. Discounts are avialable for first year dues.
