501(c)3 Organization

The American Association of University Women – Dearborn, Inc (AAUW-D) Affiliate became a 501(c)(3) organization effective May 1, 2022.  It is further classified as a public charity as opposed to a private foundation. 

Because AAUW-D is a 501(c)(3) organization, donors can deduct any contributions they make to the Affiliate.  AAUW-D is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.
